If you have given up on Nokia, the company sure still believes there are a few tricks left in the hat to launch it to the top.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 has made an appearance on AT&T’s inventory list stirring more rumours that the device is the one we have been waiting for- the 41 megapixel camera smartphone with PureView. The inventory list was released anonymously and also suggested that the employees at AT&T have been testing the new Windows phone. It seems AT&T subscribers will be seeing the Nokia Lumia 1020 as part of their list of options before the end of this year.
According to the list, the device will be available in Black, white and yellow and is expected to sell at about $600 off contract. Nokia has been pretty hushed up about the device and the anonymous leak is definitely a way of creating anticipation in the hearts of the public as Nokia hosts another event on the 11th of July for which the slogan is “41 million reasons.”
In addition to the inventory list leak, there have been some teasing photos posted on the Flickr page of Microsoft Windows phone manager Joe Belfiore. The pictures were posted on the 29th of June and according to the description given, the high resolution crisp images and texts were taken with a Nokia Lumia 1020.
Just recently, Nokia released the Lumia 928 but it seems that the smartphones are not hitting the mark like they should. At some point, Nokia was one of the top smartphone manufacturing companies but recent news suggest that the company may be in trouble again with the competition eating away at its market share.
Many have attributed Nokia’s recent dip in the market to the company’s lack of diversification and perhaps the focus on non-premium cell phones that do not exhibit any ‘smart’ quality. We just think the competition is a whole lot better!
The Nokia Lumia will most likely be unveiled in a couple of days and we look forward to reading more about it. It might be Nokia’s ticket back to the top in spite of the saturation in the smartphone sector.
